About the University Handbooks

The University of Western Australia’s official Undergraduate Handbook and Postgraduate Handbook are published on this web site. They contain full details of the University's course and student information and have been compiled for the guidance of students as well as staff members who are required to advise enrolling and re-enrolling students.

  • The Undergraduate Handbook contains information for students in undergraduate programmes including bachelor's degrees, honours and diploma programmes.
  • The Postgraduate Handbook contains information for postgraduate students undertaking research and/or coursework.

Note: Information in these handbooks is subject to change from time to time. In particular the University reserves the right to change the content and/or the method of presentation and/or the method of assessment of any unit of study, to withdraw any unit of study or programme which it offers, to impose limitations on enrolment in any unit or programme, and/or to vary arrangements for any programme. In order to be deemed to have completed a programme students must pass all course requirements at the required standard and comply with all relevant University legislation.

Abridged versions IN PRINT

Abridged hard copy versions of the Undergraduate Handbook, Postgraduate Handbook and Units Handbook are available for order by University sections or purchase by students and the public at UniPrint's Campus Shop located in the Guild Village, Crawley. However, for full details and the most current information students are encouraged to read the official online handbooks.

Prospective students or staff seeking information on admission requirements, procedures and processes connected with application, selection and offer of places in undergraduate bachelor's programmes should consult Study at UWA 2008 and the TISC Guide.
