Domestic Fee-paying Undergraduate Students

The University offers a limited number of additional undergraduate places on a fee-paying basis to Australian and New Zealand students and holders of a permanent visa. More details are available at http://www.admissions.uwa.edu.au/page/25339.

International Student Fees

All international students at UWA are required to pay tuition fees for their programmes of study. Tuition fees are fixed for the duration of the course including the honours year. Refer to http://www.international.uwa.edu.au/page/16755 for more details.

Amenities and Services Fee

The University of Western Australia (UWA) Amenities and Services Fee was introduced in 2003 following passage through the West Australian Parliament of the Acts Amendment (Student Guilds and Associations) Bill 2002 (No. 123). This Bill amended the University's Act (University of Western Australia Act 1911) in relation to the Guild and enabled UWA to introduce a student amenities and services fee under an amended Statute No. 20. The Higher Education Support Amendment (Abolition of Compulsory Up-front Student Union Fees) Act 2005 provides that students may choose not to pay an Amenities and Services Fee if they do not wish to use the services for which the fee is levied.

Therefore, the UWA Amenities and Services Fee is a voluntary charge levied on students enrolling at UWA who choose to pay and thus have access to the amenities and services on which the income generated by the fee is spent. These include a range of recreational, sporting and educational facilities together with social, education and representation activities and services for the direct benefit of students at UWA.

Full details of the Amenities and Services Fee are published on the University web site via the Student Administration page (http://www.studentadmin.uwa.edu.au/page/14198) and are available from Student Administration (Hackett Hall), Student Services and the Guild.
