            Applicability of the Student Rules, policies and procedures

            9.2.17.1(1) The Student Rules in the Student Procedures, Rules and Policies section apply to students in this course.

            (2) The policies and procedures in the Student Procedures, Rules and Policies section apply except as otherwise indicated in the rules for this course.

            Award of honours

            9.2.17.2(1) The Faculty may award the Bachelor of Science (70100) with Honours of the appropriate class to a student who—

            (a) has completed all requirements for the relevant pass degree of this University;

            and

            (b) has completed the relevant supervised research project.

            (2) The Faculty determines whether honours are to be awarded and, if so, the classification of honours to be awarded on the basis of a student's performance as set out in Rules 9.2.17.5 and 9.2.17.6.

            Calculation of honours

            9.2.17.5 The honours calculation is based on a student's mark in the relevant research project and a student's weighted average over the relevant research project (24 points) and the highest scoring Level 3, 4 or 5 units with a total value of 24 points.

            Classification of honours

            9.2.17.6 Honours are awarded as follows:
