            Applicability of the Student Rules, policies and procedures

            4.2.5.1(1) The Student Rules apply to students in this course.

            (2) The policy, policy statements and guidance documents and student procedures apply, except as otherwise indicated in the rules for this course.

            Admission

            4.2.5.2 The admission requirements are a pass degree of this University completed within the previous five years at a sufficiently high level as determined by the Faculty including one of the majors set out in Rules 4.2.4.10 to 4.2.4.21A, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty.

            Course structure

            4.2.5.3(1) The course consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising one of the honours specialisations set out in Rules 4.2.5.8 to 4.2.5.16.

            (2) The Faculty may—

            (a) permit a student to substitute an approved unit from another course offered by the Faculty for one unit listed in the student's chosen specialisation; and

            (b) require a student to complete additional work.

            Satisfactory progress

            4.2.5.4 To make satisfactory progress in the course students must pass all units in which they are enrolled after the final date for withdrawal without academic penalty.

            Progress status

            4.2.5.5 The Faculty, on the recommendation of the Board of Examiners, may assign the progress status of 'Excluded' to a student who has failed to make satisfactory progress.

            4.2.5.6 Rescinded

            Time limit

            4.2.5.7(1) The time limit is two semesters for full-time students or four semesters for part-time students.

            (2) In exceptional circumstances, the Faculty may approve an extension of up to two semesters.

            Employment Relations (Commerce) Honours specialisation (MJ-EMPCO)

            4.2.5.16 The Employment Relations (Commerce) Honours specialisation comprises all units in Table 4.2.5m [Employment Relations (Commerce) Honours specialisation core units]—48 points.
