Unit Overview

Description

Students cover clinically relevant concepts in the disciplines of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, pharmacology, pathology, population science and behavioural science, and introductory preclinical and clinical dentistry.

This unit is constructed to provide teaching on the balance of content for DMD students who have not passed any of the units DENT4101 to DENT4108, or who have failed either of the new units DENT4121 or DENT4122. There are no corresponding units for DENT4101 to DENT4108 within the 2018 DMD program, so this unit is offered to students who have not successfully completed any of the units DENT4101 to DENT4108. Likewise, this unit may be offered in the revised 2018 DMD program to students who do not successfully complete either DENT4121 or DENT4122, at the discretion of the Dean and Head, UWA Dental School and the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences Board of Examiners.
