Unit Overview

Description

This is part 2 of the Research project available within the Master in Geotechnics for Offshore Wind Energy. Parts 1 of and 2 must be completed to satisfy the requirements of the unit. Collectively, parts 1 and 2 of the Research project involves a research proposal, a research project, a dissertation and an oral presentation of the project findings. Students will consider a geotechnical research question relevant to offshore renewable energy applications, linking in with existing research programmes at the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems at UWA. The main objective of the Research project is to develop students' independent research and analytical abilities, and written and communication skills. It is expected that the original research undertaken within the project would be at a standard that could lead to one or more publishable papers.
