Honours Overview

Description

To investigate advanced ideas from a range of disciplines relevant to the study of human rights and associated ideas (e.g. social justice).

Outcomes

Students are able to (1) evaluate advanced ideas and complex arguments from various sub-fields focused upon human rights issues; (2) demonstrate public speaking and professional presentation skills; (3) apply methodologies from different disciplines to a wide range of topics; (4) write in a critical manner on topics in human rights; and (5) utlise core research skills in preparation for academic research that will endure in subsequent postgraduate research and/or research oriented work outside of the academia.

Entry requirements

The equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 75 per cent in the Level 3 units of the Human Rights major.
