Unit Overview
- Description
Students apply logical and sequential thinking to plan and undertake an in-depth literature search on a selected research topic using a range of databases/search engines. Students critique literature to identify trends and gaps in the literature, recognize quality publications, and determine contemporary issues and debates in relation to the topic. Drawing on global and interdisciplinary literature, students scope the project, explore research paradigms, and develop a conceptual framework for addressing the topic. Strategies for managing and storing relevant literature and producing coherent and sequential academic writing will be a key focus of this unit.
