- In this unit, students develop a professional teaching portfolio that details disciplinary and pedagogical activities, achievements and goals. This requires students to articulate their personal philosophy of teaching and to review, organise and document in a concise and cohesive manner portfolio content that illustrates activities and actions undertaken.
- Students are able to (1) analyse and discuss statements of teaching philosophy; (2) develop a personal statement of teaching philosophy; (3) prepare an up to date curriculum vitae; (4) discuss areas of professional and personal development; and (5) discuss short, medium and long-term disciplinary and pedagogical goals.
- Indicative assessments in this unit are as follows: (1) analysis of teaching philosophies; (2) develop a personal statement of teaching philosophy; and (3) professional teaching portfolio. Further information is available in the unit outline.
Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit.
