Description

This is an intermediate unit in macroeconomic theory and policy applications. Topics include short-run economic fluctuations, long-run economic growth, unemployment, inflation and open economy.

Outcomes

Students are able to (1) explain how equilibrium is determined in the goods and financial markets in a closed economy and (2) demonstrate an understanding of various macroeconomic models for analysing issues such as unemployment, inflation, growth and open economy.

Assessment

Indicative assessments in this unit are as follows: (1) online quizzes; (2) mid-semester examination; and (3) final examination. Further information is available in the unit outline.



Student may be offered supplementary assessment in this unit if they meet the eligibility criteria.
