Unit Overview

Description

This unit provides pharmacists enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Refresher) (Extended) program with the opportunity to demonstrate their competence in contemporary pharmacy practice through work-integrated experiential learning. Students are required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of pharmacy practice in their current workplace, allowing them to engage with real-world professional scenarios across any area of practice.

Students will compile a portfolio of evidence that documents their learning, performance, and professional growth. The portfolio will include reflective entries and practice-based artefacts aligned with national competency standards.

Outcomes

Students are able to (1) critically reflect on and document pharmacy practice experiences; (2) apply advanced knowledge and skills in pharmacy practice; and (3) evaluate own performance and identify areas for ongoing professional development.

This unit is assessed on an ungraded pass/ungraded failed basis. All assessment items must be successfully completed.

Student may be offered supplementary assessment in this unit if they meet the eligibility criteria.
