          Applicability of the general provisions

          11.1.22.1 The general provisions in 11.1.1 apply to the course.

          Course structure

          11.1.22.2 The combined course for the degrees of Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws consists of units to a total value of 282 or 288 points including a Bachelor of Commerce component to a value of 90 or 96 points and a Bachelor of Laws component to a value of 192 points.

          Bachelor of Commerce component

          11.1.22.3(1) The Bachelor of Commerce component consists of units to a total value of 90 or 96 points comprising—

          (a) both units in Table 4.2.4a (Bachelor of Commerce Level 1 core units) in the UWA Business School Rules—12 points

          and

          (b) STAT1520 Economic and Business Statistics—6 points

          and

          (c) Level 1 units to the value of 12 to 18 points chosen—

          either

          (i) from those listed in Table 4.2.4b (Bachelor of Commerce Level 1 options) in the UWA Business School Rules excluding LAWS1104 Introduction to Law;

          or

          (ii) from other Level 1 units offered within the University;

          and

          (d) units to make up the remaining number of points required for the component chosen—

          either

          (i) from Table 4.2.2u (Level 2 and 3 units offered by the Faculty) in the UWA Business School Rules;

          or

          (ii) from other Level 2 and 3 units offered within the University.

          (2) The units chosen under (1) must include the requirements for at least one of the majors set out in UWA Business School Rules 4.2.4.10 to 4.2.4.21A.

          (3) Students who have not obtained a minimum scaled score of 50 per cent in WACE Mathematics 3A/3B, WACE Mathematics 3C/3D, TEE Applicable Mathematics, TEE Calculus, or equivalent, must include ECON1111 Quantitative Methods for Business and Economics (6 points) in the Level 1 units required under (1)(c).

          Bachelor of Laws component

          11.1.22.4 The Bachelor of Laws component consists of units to a total value of 192 points comprising—

          (a) all units in Table 7.2.2a (Bachelor of Laws core units)1 in the Faculty of Law Rules—126 points

          and

          (b) units to the value of 66 points from Table 7.2.2b (Bachelor of Laws options) in the Faculty of Law Rules including units to the value of at least 6 points from Group B in that table.

          11.1.22.5 Rescinded

          1 From 2011, the former requirement to complete LAWS4030 Commercial Practice Conveyancing and Drafting I and LAWS4033 Commercial Practice Conveyancing and Drafting II will be satisfied by completing LAWS4030 Commercial Practice and LAWS4404 Legal Theory and Ethics as set out in Table 7.2.2a (Bachelor of Laws core units).
