Applicability of the Student Rules, policies and procedures

2.2.5.1(1) The Student Rules apply to students in this course.

(2) The policy, policy statements and guidance documents and student procedures apply, except as otherwise indicated in the rules for this course.

Course structure

2.2.5.2 The course consists of units to a total value of 144 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 2.2.5a (Bachelor of Fine Arts pass degree core units)—96 points

and

(b) units to a total value of 48 points chosen from Level 2 or 3 in Table 2.2.5b (Bachelor of Fine Arts pass degree options).

Prerequisites

2.2.5.3 Unless the Faculty permits otherwise in light of exceptional circumstances, a student must complete—

(a) all Level 1 requirements before being permitted to enrol in any Level 2 Art: Studio Investigations unit; and

(b) Level 2 units to a minimum of 12 points from Table 2.2.5b (Bachelor of Fine Arts pass degree options) before being permitted to enrol in any Level 3 Art: Advanced Studio units.

Time limit

2.2.5.4(1) Unless the Faculty approves an extension, the time limit is six years from the beginning of the semester in which the first unit is credited towards the course.

(2) Where a student is permitted to credit a unit or units from a completed degree course, the credit dates from the year of first enrolment in the course for the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts.

(3) Where a student is permitted to credit a unit or units from an incomplete degree course, the credit dates from the year in which the unit or units concerned were passed.
