    Definition of major

    9.2.6.1 A major in the Bachelor of Science (50110) course comprises units to the value of at least 24 points from Table 9.2.2a [Recognised units for the Bachelor of Science (50110)], completed in a specified subject area at Level 3, except in the case of the Anthropology and Archaeology majors, which comprise Level 2 units to the value of 36 points in the relevant subject area, and of the Linguistics major, which comprises Level 2 or Level 3 units to the value of 36 points in linguistics.

      (a) all units in Table 9.2.6(43B) (Marine and Coastal Management major sequence core units)—36 points

      and

      (b) one pair of units from Group A in Table 9.2.6(43C) (Marine and Coastal Management major sequence options)—12 points

      and

      (c) one pair of units from Group B in Table 9.2.6(43C) (Marine and Coastal Management major sequence options)—12 points

      and

      (d) at least one unit from Group C in Table 9.2.6(43C) (Marine and Coastal Management major sequence options)—at least 6 points.

      (2) Students taking a major in Marine and Coastal Management together with a major in Marine Biology follow the rules for the Marine Science program.
