Unit Overview

Description

This unit provides training in modules 1-4 of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2nd Edition (ADOS-2), an internationally recognised gold standard tool that can be used as part of comprehensive diagnostic assessments for autism. The unit requires (1) extensive pre-workshop introductory reading on the theoretical background of the ADOS-2; (2) preparation for, and participation in, an intensive four-day workshop on ADOS-2 administration and coding; and (3) post-workshop practice in administering and coding the ADOS-2 for an autistic person of any age.
