It allows participants to explore the colonial past of French Polynesia, to analyse the notion of ‘common destiny' and debate these notions for the various peoples of Polynesia. Students travel to Tahiti for two weeks for an intensive cultural and language experience and research. While in-country, students will attend various lectures by experts from the University of French Polynesia and engage with the local community.
