Description

Quantum technology is an emerging field of physics and engineering, which builds on the fundamental principles of quantum theories. This unit covers advanced topics, such as quantum sensors, quantum imaging, quantum metrology, quantum simulation, tensor networks for complex quantum systems, and quantum information theory.

Outcomes

Students are able to (1) understand fundamental principles of quantum physics; (2) apply advanced quantum theories to technological areas; and (3) communicate effectively through scientific writing and group discussions.

Assessment

Student may be offered supplementary assessment in this unit if they meet the eligibility criteria.
