          Applicability of the general provisions

          11.1.40A.1 The general provisions in 11.1.1 apply to the course.

          Course Structure

          11.1.40A.2 The combined course for the degrees of Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Science consists of units to a total value of 246 points comprising a Bachelor of Economics component to the value of 102 points and a Bachelor of Science component to a value of 144 points.

          Bachelor of Economics component

          11.1.40A.3(1) The Bachelor of Economics component consists of units to a total value of 102 points comprising—

          (a) Level 1 units to the value of 18 to 30 points including—

          (i) the following units:

          (ii) units to the value of 6 to 18 points from Group B in Table 4.2.2b (Bachelor of Economics Level 1 options) in the UWA Business School Rules or from the Level 1 units available within the University;

          and

          (b) units to the value of 72 to 84 points from Table 4.2.2u (Level 2 and 3 units offered by the Faculty) in the UWA Business School Rules or from the Level 2 and 3 units available within the University including the requirements of at least one of the majors set out in UWA Business School Rules 4.2.2.10 to 4.2.2.16.

          (2) Students who do not complete ECON1105 Rise of the Global Economy or ECON1141 Australian Economic History as one of their Level 1 options and who do not take a major in Employment Relations must complete as part of their course a Level 2 or Level 3 economic history unit listed for the Economic History major in the 2010 Rules for the course.

          Bachelor of Science component

          11.1.40A.4 The Bachelor of Science component consists of units to a total value of 144 points comprising one of the programs set out in the Rules for the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science (71120).
