Honours Overview

An Honours in Business Analytics provides students with foundation research training in the Business Analytics field at an international standard. Honours graduates will have the skills to plan and conduct research to investigate problems in the business field. Students will apply state-of-art advanced methods for research and analysis, and develop knowledge and skills further. The successful honours graduate will be ready to enter a higher research degree in Business Analytics, such as a PhD or join consulting companies requiring research skills or graduate recruitment programs. Students graduating with an honours degree will be well-positioned to benefit from any opportunities that arise within the job market.
Outcomes

Students are able to (1) demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts in business analytics; (2) demonstrate knowledge of research principles and methods; (3) apply advanced business analytics knowledge to solve complex problems; and (4) communicate effectively and succinctly the results of business analytics research.

Entry requirements

A minimum WAM of 75 across Level 3 units in the Business Analytics major, or equivalent as approved by the university
