¹ Students in the Bachelor of Arts single degree course who choose a major in European Studies must include a second major in their course.

3.2.2.23(1) The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) Level 1 European Studies units to the value of 12 points from Table 3.2.2a (Bachelor of Arts options);

and

(b) all units in Table 3.2.2uA (European Studies core units);

and

(c) units to the value of 12 points from Table 3.2.2uB (European Studies major options).

(2) Students may substitute Level 1 units from History, English, French, German, Italian, Greek, Latin or Ancient History for the units required under (1)(a).

(3) If a student is unable to satisfy the requirements of the major due to the unavailability of units in Table 3.2.2uA (European Studies core units), they may substitute units from Table 3.2.2uB (European Studies major options) for units required under (1)(b) of equivalent value.

3.2.2.24 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2vA [French major (Beginners' stream) core units]—42 points

and

(b) one unit from Table 3.2.2vB [French major (Beginners' stream) options]—6 points.

3.2.2.25 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2w [French major (Post-WACE stream) core units]—42 points

and

(b) one unit from Table 3.2.2y (French major options)—6 points.

3.2.2.26 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2x [French major (Native or Near-Native Speaker stream) core units]—36 points

and

(b) all units in Table 3.2.2y (French major options)—12 points.

3.2.2.27 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2zA [German major (Beginners' stream) core units]—36 points

and

(b) two units from Table 3.2.2zB [German major (Beginners' stream) options]—12 points.

3.2.2.28 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2aa [German major (Post-WACE stream) core units]—30 points

and

(b) units to the value of 18 points from Table 3.2.2ab (German major options).

3.2.2.29 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising all units in Table 3.2.2ac [German major (Native or Near-Native Speaker stream) core units]—48 points.

3.2.2.30 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2adA [Italian major (Beginners' stream) core units]—42 points

and

(b) one unit from Table 3.2.2adB [Italian major (Beginners' stream) options]—6 points.

3.2.2.31 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2ae [Italian major (Post-WACE stream) core units]—42 points

and

(b) one unit from Table 3.2.2ag (Italian major options)—6 points.

3.2.2.32 The major consists of units to a total value of 48 points comprising—

(a) all units in Table 3.2.2af [Italian major (Native or Near-Native Speaker stream) core units]—42 points

and

(b) one unit from Table 3.2.2ag (Italian major options)—6 points.
